Join us on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:30 am as we welcome Mike Alger, retired Chief Meterologist from KTVN Channel 2. After more than 35 years serving Northern Nevada, Mike will share a personal and fiath filled message tilted "You Just Never Know". THrough stories drawn from his life, career, and walk with God, Mike will remind us that we are never called to control the outcome, only to faithfully follow where God leads.
Mike’s message will encourage us to resist assumptions about our future and instead trust God’s direction one step at a time. His story is one of faithfulness, humility, and obedience, offering a timely reminder for business and professional leaders navigating seasons of uncertainty, transition, and calling.

Mike Alger,
Retired Chief Meterologis from KTVN Channel 2.
Nate’s talk will speak to the real pressures that leaders, families, and workplaces carry today. By blending his clinical experience with his Christian faith, he will guide us toward a healthier understanding of what it means to care for the mind while trusting God with the deeper parts of our lives. This promises to be an encouraging and insightful conversation for anyone seeking clarity, resilience, and spiritual grounding in a stressful world.
Quick Bio: Mike Alger
Mike Alger retired in 2024 after over 35 years at KTVN Channel 2, including 34 years as Chief Meteorologist. An Emmy Award winning broadcaster, Mike provided coverage for some of Northern Nevada’s most historic weather events and served as a consulting meteorologist for the Nevada Department of Transportation and the Governor’s Drought Task Force. He holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society and has served on its Board of Broadcast Meteorology. Mike has been married to his wife Anita for 45 years and has two grown children. In retirement, he narrates audiobooks and looks forward to teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada.
